![]() I clicked continue which it said would start up my computer and now it’s frozen on SupportAssist OS recovery. I tried turning it off again (bc I had no idea what else to do) and this time it turned back on and auto ran a diagnostic where it said everything was ok. Then I had to leave for about 4 hours and when I came back it was still stuck there. I tried forcing it off again and same thing. ![]() When I went to turn on my laptop this morning it froze on the start up screen that’s black and says dell so I forced it off and tried to turn it on again but it froze at the same place. The only reason I do not uninstall SupportAssist is because I know if I need to call support for warranty service, they are going to want me to run tests through that app or use it for remote connection. Meanwhile, SupportAssist keeps nagging you with notifications "Oh we made your first backup" or "Come and optimize your computer" even if you launched the app and performed said maintenance five days ago. I also know how to install Windows from scratch. That leaves the hardware diagnostics as the only useful tool, and if I suspect hardware problems, I can run that test from the BIOS. I use Windows Defender to scan for viruses. I use Disk Cleanup to free up space and Disk Defrag to trim the SSD to optimize performance. I use Dell Command Update to download Dell updates and Windows Updates for, well you know.
